Welcome to Pocket CV. This Privacy Policy explains how your information is handled when you use our Android mobile application.

1. Information Collection and Storage

Pocket CV is designed to be a locally-driven application. We do not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal data, resume details, job tracking information, or analytics on external servers.

• CV/Resume Profiles: All personal information, work history, education, and references you enter are stored locally on your device using shared preferences and low-code local JSON storage.
• Job Applications: Your tracked companies, application statuses, submission dates, and notes are stored strictly on your local device.
• Photos/Headshots: Any profile images you select are accessed via your local device's storage/gallery and are not uploaded to any remote server.

2. Permissions

The app requires certain permissions to function correctly, all of which are processed locally:

• Notifications: If enabled, notification permissions are used solely to trigger local follow-up and interview reminders on your device.
• Storage/Media Access: Accessed only when you explicitly select a headshot image or import/export backup data files.

3. Backups and Data Sharing

You may choose to create backups or export your data (in JSON or PDF format) to share or store externally. When you export or share data:

• Data sharing is initiated explicitly by you using standard Android sharing mechanisms (e.g., email, cloud storage apps).
• We do not intercept, view, or store these exported files.

4. Third-Party Services

The app does not use third-party analytics, tracking networks, or remote advertising SDKs.

If you tap the "Check for Updates" button, you will be directed to the Google Play Store, which is governed by Google's own terms of service and privacy policy.

5. Children's Privacy

Pocket CV is not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
